A quickie update

2.27.2011
I noticed that the last post was from almost two weeks ago, so I think an update of a laconic nature is due. I'm in Malaysia at the moment, sweating unattractively and steadily gaining weight on a combination of coconut milk and noodles. I have some exciting news to report when I return home, but in the meantime, I wanted to show you what I brought for a 10 day stay:

From top: Lands' End boatneck tee, Brooks Brothers oxford shirt, Wood Wood Abril tee, J.Crew skirt

I also brought a pair of walking shorts and a set of loungewear while wearing a pair of jeans and an APC sweater up the plane. I really like traveling light because it makes it so much easier and more enjoyable when you don't have to lug around a bunch of clothes you'll never end up wearing anyway. I always have an oxford shirt and my beloved WoodWood Abril tee wherever I go, it's become my traveling staples. And as an aside: never forget sunblock when you're just south of the Equator.

  1. I'm impressed at how little you took! I'm not sure I could do that :)

  2. Asha: Traveling light is great but it's probably a little less hygienic than I would like though =)

  3. It also leaves more room in your luggage, allowing you to bring more goodies back home.

  5. Agree with your comment that laundry is the worst part about travelling light, especially to a warm place. But if you don't have to worry about having such facilities around, it's the best way to travel! Can't to hear about your exciting news btw...

Where in Malaysia are you at? Believe me, I can identify with sweating unattractively...

  6. Jocy: That is true, but I don't usually buy much on trips unless I'm in Paris :-) I spend most of my time eating.

Jennifer: A photo will have to accompany the news...

lin: I'm in KL but I might take a trip down to Singapore over the weekend if I can get all my visa issues sorted out!

  7. That is perfect!
I love that this fits on a big tote. No need for rolling carry-on.
And the selection is incredibly stylish for how simple and small it is. =)
I am inspired for my next trip anywhere.

Also, the 30th outfit for the I6L styling challenge is up. Final 30! What do you think of it so far?

    XOXO
