Things this week: Cuddling with a broken weiner dog (recent drama involves losing a tooth and eating dark chocolate - I feel like the worst parent ever), closet cleaning, greasy spoon breakfasts, multiple tea times (breakfast, second breakfast, etc.), winter-ish plants, and sorting through post-wedding crap. I'm finding that I constantly tired so I think it's an indication that I really need to stop snacking, get off my fat arse and get some exercise. I get up when I want to except on Wednesdays when I get rudely awakened by the dustmen (seriously...).

I've also noticed that I've averaged one post per month since February! I'm surprised that I'm actually still accumulating any readers/followers at all. I have a whole bunch of blog drafts sitting around and I really need to get around to posting them - a lot of them are peripherally related to my random observations about shopping habits and what-nots which I guess is the main focus of this blog, no? 

Anyway, I know that I've been posting more random life updates than is necessary but I just really needed an excuse to throw in a very nice picture of Blur from just a few months ago. They were the first band that I ever saw live over a decade ago, and fifteen years on, their music is still heavily rotated on my playlists. Also, as an aside, we all know we secretly want to dress like Graham Coxon (breton top, duffle coat, horn-rim glasses, mysteriously emo sleazy look... how apt!)

    I like that Vanessa Bruno dress! I bought the chartreuse draw-string version during the sale season.

    I can relate - I've had a liming poodle and yesterday it was 20 days since my last blog post. I also appreciate how you're using emo in its proper meaning, and not as the later goth/scene-kid incarnation. If it doesn't include Rivers Cuomo-glasses, it's not emo ;)

      Oh, Maja -- I use the word "emo" in its proper sense because that's exactly what I am and I do not have Rivers Cuomo-ish glasses. I was emo before emo was invented. :-)

    great post and i love all the photos, especially your Athe VB dress and your adorable puppy! he looks like a fighter for sure in spite of all the health hiccups. :)

    also, thanks for your comment and support on my Manolo post. i filed a BBB complaint and am hoping a third party mediator/office will spring things into resolution...

    Choclate, raisins, grapes, avacado, and coffee are deadly for dogs. Absolutely brilliant blog. You are a great writer.

    This is so funny! Literally just yesterday I had made a post consisting entirely of Blur videos. Then I deleted it because I thought I was the only one who would enjoy them - clearly I was wrong!! :) :)

    I have your blog in my favourites folder so it is simple enough to check in occasionally to see if there is anything new - and you always deliver food for thought, or these fascinating/tender elements of your life, so a new post, however infrequent is always a delight!

    I adore the plant photograph - I am currently trying to cultivate my own little 'inner garden' here, too.....and succulents are my absolute favourite.

    And the food does look delicious. It's been far too long since I indulged in a 'proper' full breakfast (one slice of toast and off I go, usually).

    The dress also looks lovely, I'm really drawn to this style at the moment, and have felt a growing urge to invite more patterned items into my wardrobe...

    And congratulations are in order I do believe - my apologies for arriving so late! x
